Skate Against Hate is dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusivity, kindness, and respect within figure skating and youth sports. Inspired by Audrey Lam-Danback's commitment to standing up for others, our organization was created to ensure that every athlete—regardless of gender, identity, background, or personal journey—feels safe, valued, and empowered in their skating.
We encourage passion and excellence. We believe sports should be a place where character is built, confidence is strengthened, and differences are celebrated. Through advocacy, education, community partnerships, and showcase events featuring elite and Olympic-level athletes, we aim to raise awareness and actively promote positive integrity for every skater on and off the ice.
By bringing together skaters, coaches, families, and supporters, Skate Against Hate strives to create lasting change—championing an environment where courage builds friendship, respect replaces judgment, and every athlete has the opportunity to thrive.
Audrey Lam-Danback
Founder, Skate Against Hate
Audrey Lam-Danback is a passionate figure skater, student, and advocate for kindness and inclusion in youth sports. Inspired by her firsthand experiences within the skating community, she founded Skate Against Hate to combat bullying and create a culture where every athlete feels safe, supported, and empowered to pursue their dreams both on and off the ice.
Through her leadership, Audrey has transformed personal conviction into meaningful action by partnering with local and national organizations, including industry leaders such as The American Ice Theatre, to promote respect, empathy, and inclusivity in figure skating. She believes sports should strengthen confidence, celebrate individuality, and foster character—not criticism or exclusion.
Beyond advocacy, Audrey is committed to expanding access and opportunity in the sport she loves. Through the launch of a dedicated scholarship fund, she is working to remove financial barriers that prevent young athletes from participating in skating. Her mission is to help build a welcoming community where kindness, resilience, and opportunity are at the heart of every athlete’s journey.
